Course Content
Fundamental Treatment of Sports Injuries
FSMTB Course = CRSID-0001388 (12 credit hours)
Discover various treatment techniques for the most common Musculo-Skeletal complaints for the upper and lower body. These methods can be used on any client (young, old, athlete, office worker or laborer).
You will learn how to apply various muscle testing procedures along with the determination of postural abnormalities and movement dysfunctions to determine a proper course of action for each client.
Incorporating Myofascial and Neuromuscular techniques along with active and passive movements to provide overall pain reduction with greater mobility of client.
Side-Lying Treatments
FSMTB Course = CRSID-0001389 (12 credit hours)
Learn basic anatomy and kinesiology of the upper and lower body plus how gravity affects muscle positioning and movement during a therapeutic massage session.
The client will be in the side-lying position which alters the location of some internal organs allowing greater access to deeper muscles.
You will be shown how to provide effective and lasting treatments for common Musculo-Skeletal conditions for the neck, shoulder, low back, hip & thigh.
Body Taping Techniques

This course will review the different forms of therapeutic tapes available on the market and cover basic taping techniques that are available for complaints and injuries related to human mucles and joints.
These will include (but are not limited to) various elastic brands of tape plus other more rigid and athletic tapes.
The course will cover various ways in which the tape can be applied to different body parts and what techniques works best in certain situations.
